澳大英語辯論隊（英文簡稱：EDT）於2003年成立，至今一直活躍於各類型大小的地區及國際性英語辯論比賽並多次取得滿意的成績。我們連續八年於澳門高等院校學生辯論賽英語組賽事上衛冕冠軍。我們是第20屆全國英語辯論賽的冠軍隊伍及取得了最佳辯手獎，我們也是第21屆全國英語辯論賽的季軍。在國際賽場上，我們在2007世界大學辯論錦標賽（兩個分別在中國及世界水準最高的比賽）中取得最佳辯手獎以及在2017世界大學辯論錦標賽中進入了準決賽。
近年，澳大英語辯論隊亦致力於英語辯論的推廣及發展。我們不但積極參與各個頂級的世界賽事，還不時舉辦推動英語辯論的活動如英語辯論培訓工作坊及跨校友誼賽等。在2010年10月及2011年5月，有幸主辦「2010東北亞英語辯論公開賽」及協助澳門高等教育輔助辦公室籌辦「第二屆全亞辯論比賽」。在2018年的7月，更成功舉辦「王者之戰英式議會辯論冠軍邀請賽」，為澳門近年來最大型的英文辯論賽。

Established in 2003, UM English Debating Team (EDT) has continuously achieved outstanding results from various local and international debate competitions. In terms of local achievements, we have won the Championship of Macao Inter-Tertiary Debating Competition (English Debate) for 8 years in succession. UM EDT also had remarkable results in FLTRP National English Debating Competition in recent years. We were crowned the Champion and Overall Best Speaker of the 20th FLTRP National English Debating Competition in 2017, and recently placed third out of more than 100 teams in the 21st FLTRP National English Debating Competition, which is also the highest-level debating championship in China. In 2007, we received the Best Speaker prize in World Universities Debating Championships, and in 2017, we became the Semi-Finalist of this world-class debating championship.
In recent years, UM EDT is actively engaged in the promotion and development of the English debate. We not only participate in World Class tournaments but also organizes English debating activities such as English debating training workshops and intervarsity friendly debates. In October 2010 and May 2011, we have the honourable opportunity to be the host of the Northeast Asian Open 2010 and the co-organizer of the 2nd United Asian Debating Championship hosted by the Macao Tertiary Education Office. In 2018 July, we successfully organized The Macau Tournament of Champions BP Invitational 2018, is the first-ever international invitational tournament that gathers the debate champions of international tournaments from across the world over the past decade.
